So Christmas is just around the preverbal corner, that goose has got so fat it can’t walk, everyone is geared up for the 1 day with enough food to feed a small country in Africa for 1000 days. Loads of cash has been spent on presents, most of which will be exchanged or taken back by 2nd January!
Families are gathering together to spend that special day arguing, squabbling and wishing they were somewhere else. Always happens, rows that have been brewing all year finally spill over into ructions when we’re all supposed to be loving and happy in the bosom of our family!
Well, I’m not - I’m working until 8am on Christmas day, then I’ll be sleeping and spending the rest of the time eating, being merry, drinking all on me lil Jack Jones! I’ll be spreading myself over my new sofa and enjoying being a lonely bugger with no-one to pull a cracker with!
So, whatever you’re doing and with whomever you are with I wish you the very best and hope that Santa empties his sack for you!
It’s hell at work at the moment – mainly due to the fog that’s causing so much caos in and around London, causing most domestic and European flights to be cancelled! Therefore our call volumes have doubled and my fingers are being warn down to stumps and my ears are burning with sob stories and outrageous demands from the yucky punters, complete hell. On top of that, we’re short staffed due to Lisa and David being on leave and Kitty having left last shift! I hope David is enjoying his time away from this hell hole - I’m sure he is. Oh we do miss him so much when he’s not here, he’s such good entertainment. I hope Kitty is doing ok, back over in Spain where she lives - I bet whatever she’s doing she isn’t thinking of this place!
So Leona won X factor over Eddie Munster, which was good, I watched the final, well as much as I could before I had to pop off to work. The highlight of the whole thing for me was the sight of the little Wigan lad Shaun singing his heart out with ‘Right Here Waiting’ the old Richard Marx track. The kid was amazing and I realy thought we’d missed out on not having him on the live TV shows. He’s the kid that melted Simon Cowell’s heart when he had the boy in Miami, admitting he'd never willed anyone to do well like he had young Shaun. That shaking nervious little teenage did well and for his efforts received a standing ovation from the judges and the amassed throng in the studio and back at home I was off my chair with a tear in my eye. This 16 year old did so well and after a montage of his previous bits on the show, the auditions and such like, I was a gone, bless the little wee fella. I sure hope we aint seen the last of him. Voice of an angel Simon said, to me he was better than pretty much most of the bods that actually made it into the live TV shows!

The next big thing on the telly will be Celebrity Big Brother which hits our screens on 3rd of January and will probably over take all conversations in the pub and work place. From the second the famous doors shut behind them, the celebrity housemates will dwell side by side, abide by Big Brother's rules, take part in elaborate tasks and nominate each other for eviction. Stripped of their worldly possessions, mobile phones, airbrushes and agents, they will be left at the mercy of Big Brother...and each other. Until launch night, the housemates' identities remain shrouded in secrecy, but one thing is certain - each of them will face eviction until the last celebrity is standing.
Who knows what Z listers are gonna be locked in the house, but according to gossip the following odd bods have been suggested, Jon Ansell and Matt Stiff from G4, MP Tommy Sheridan, Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, Baywatch's David Hasselhoff, 80s pop star Adam Ant. Also in the frame for possible grab at fame again are ex Step’s H, Paul Michael Glazer from 70’s show Starsky & Hutch and the ‘Face’ from the A Team, Dirk Benedict. Well that sure seems like good viewing to me!!!!
More soon! Oh and just before I go, wanna find out where Santa is on Christmas eve? Check the following and see his progress!
